A new Tumblr page is summing up gay Sydney life with deliciously LOL-worthy daily GIF images.

It made us laugh when it was created a couple of weeks ago, so we linked to the Sydney Gay Tumblr page on Facebook and loads of people told us how spot-on it was. With its hilarious moving images, the page shows a Sydney gay’s reaction to common occurrences like “when someone knocks over your Espresso Martini at the Beresford”, “when an ASOS shipment arrives”, “when someone jumps the queue at Palms” and even “when it’s 10 and you’re not even halfway through Polly’s Follies.” (Drink up!)

The page’s creators, who wish to remain discreetly anonymous, tell Same Same it’s been very exciting to see it catch on so quickly – with over 30,000 views in just a few days.

“The ideas have come from anywhere and everywhere,” say the cheeky Tumblr bloggers. “Typically, we’ll think of a funny situation we or our friends often find ourselves in as a gay guy living in Sydney. Sometimes we’ll come across an amazing image and think of how it relates to an equally funny situation.”

Suggestions are very welcome too. “Some of our best posts have come from readers who have emailed us submissions. We love getting new ideas, so keep ‘em coming!”

Same Same’s forum has also been busy with rampant GIF action. Started in February, a “Dedicate a GIF to a Same Samer” thread has now amassed almost 3,000 posts and is heading fast towards 70,000 views. Check it out here.
