Australians will be among the first in the world to see a special new Absolutely Fabulous episode focusing on the London Olympics.
ABC1 has confirmed its timeslot today – we’ll be able to join Patsy and Eddy’s gold-medal capers on Thursday July 26 at 8pm (Note: it was originally scheduled for Wednesday but pushed back one day for more Olympic coverage).
And as usual, the gruesome twosome don’t quite have their manicured fingers on the pulse. “As the sound of the approaching Olympiad reaches decibel deafening proportions it’s a surprise for Eddy to find that the games are imminent,” the ABC reveals about the special episode.
“Patsy tries to get into Eddy’s body-suit to look suitably great for the Olympic A listers, with disastrous results. Warning: Patsy now needs incontinence pants.”
Starring Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, the new episode is the third and final one produced recently. Two others were screened locally in February.
