Late one night, a comedian took to Sydney’s notorious Kings Cross to bravely question its intoxicated punters on the issues of the day.

Along with climate change, Julia Gillard and of course the topical concerns about violence in the popular get-fucked-up nightspot, viral video-maker Dan Illic also sought opinions on whether they like the idea of two blokes or two chicks walking down the aisle.

“What about gay marriage?” he asked, prompting a wide range of responses.

From the clichéd, to the bigoted, to the religious, to the sensible, to the downright ridiculous, they’re all here.

Note that this was intended as a comedic clip, so while all the responses are real, no doubt there were many others which didn’t make the final cut – you’re only seeing the oddest ones, not necessarily representative of the general vibe. We hope!
