Look out Sydney – the Big Gay Weekend is set to return for its second annual partying blow-out.

October’s long weekend in the Harbour City used to mean the Sleaze Ball, but last year the Mardi Gras crew involved various parties and venues around Oxford Street to get together to fundraise for their famous festival with the Big Gay Weekend – and its success means it’ll return this for a three-day bonanza Friday 28 September – Monday 1 October.

A host of Oxford Street venues and promoters will be coming together for a weekend of parties and fundraising with shows, promotions, bands, cocktails and special entertainment.

And this year, as well as being a fundraiser for the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival and Parade Community Grants Scheme, this year they’re sharing the fundraising love – money raised will also support the NSW Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, Queer Screen and Harbour City Bears.
