A former NSW dentist has been disqualified from practicing for three and a half years after fooling young men into sexual experiments.
The Illawarra Mercury reports that at least three male teenagers stepped forward to condemn facial surgeon Arthur Bosanquet, 58, for his behaviour.
Telling the teens that he was doing important medical research, he encouraged them to masturbate in front of him.
On two occasions over a period of eight months, the incidents took place at the patients’ homes, and one young man said he’d touched their genitals.
In his ill-fated defence, Bosanquet blamed his needle fetish and workload for his actions, and also admitted an “underlying homosexual/bisexual interest.”
“I have been able to reflect on my behaviour, acknowledge what I did was morally and ethically wrong, and gain an insight into why I offended,” he confessed.
“I am ashamed of what I have done, and will bear the mental scars of my actions forever.”
