Featuring a huge line-up of entertainment and activities, a ship sailing from Sydney Harbour in October 2013 aims to take 2,400 LGBT guests and their friends on the 7-day ride of a lifetime, Same Same can reveal.
The Royal Caribbean’s newly refurbished 11-deck Rhapsody of the Seas features two swimming pools, six whirlpools, a Broadway-style theatre, a casino, several dining venues, eight bars, and even a glass-canopied solarium.
A “festival at sea” named The Liberati will set sail from Sydney Harbour on October 5, 2013, calling at the Isle of Pines and Noumea in New Caledonia, before sailing back to Sydney.
Musicians, DJs, cabaret acts and comedy favourites lined up for the cruise include Trevor Ashley, Bob Downe, The Topp Twins, Kitty Glitter, out country music star Beccy Cole, DJ Pornstar, Dan Murphy, Alex Taylor, and three-woman retro musical songstresses The Fabulous Singlettes.
Promotions company Unity Events is behind it, with its director Sarina Bogdanov saying the Liberati brand will also host a variety of other events and DJ-driven parties in coming months in the lead-up to the cruise.
“Liberati is all about enjoying the finer things in life,” she promises, “from sailing the turquoise waters of the South Pacific to enjoying the best in world class entertainment.”
Reservations begin today with the launch of the Liberati’s website. Cabin prices begin at $1,447 per person for quad room share.
