Its an interesting time watching how the battle beween the fundamentalist & religious right is shaping up against the reactionary-left of the marriage equality movement.

Somewhere in between are the majority of gays and lesbians wanting equal relationship rights... not necessarily by adopting heterosexual "marriage" as the description for our relationships. Shame no-one communicates with the vast majority of the G&L community!

Perhaps the battle should be to un-hitch "marriage" from religion first, allowing for secular marriage sanctioned by the state. Othewise gays and lesbians within the religions should be the ones taking the battle to their flock.
