The most glamorous night on the drag calendar took place last night when the DIVA Awards honoring the Australian drag industry were held in Sydney.

Beverly & her boys were regular performers at most venues in Western Sydney including: 'MIDNIGHT FACTORY' - THE EMBASSY HOTEL in Penrith, 'ORANA' in Guilford, 'SKELSEYS' in Carramar, 'CASTAWAYS' in Parramatta, 'DOLPHINS' in Guildford/Parramatta, 'FRANNY'S PLACE/PASH/4PLAY' in Parramatta, 'CEASARS' in Petersham, 'ALBURY HOTEL' and the 'EXCHANGE HOTEL'and ' THE TAXI CLUB ' in Darlinghurst.
'ORANA' was a social/support group for gays & lesbians in South West Sydney from 1995-1997, with the money raised from their regular dances going to the HIV Medical Trust Fund at Liverpool Hospital...
'CASTAWAYS' held regular fortnightly dances in Parramatta helping to raise money for C.S.N. West & later The Western suburbs Haven - both organisations assisting people living with HIV/AIDS in Western Sydney. In October 1998 at Castaways benefit night, $3,300 was raised and in May 1999 they raised $2,525 for the Western Suburbs Haven.
Beverly also organised WORLD AIDS DAY1999 events in the West with money raised $3000 going to the Bigge Park Medical Centre in Liverpool...
1997 &1998 saw Beverly and her boys represent Western Sydney in the Gay & Lesbian 'FROCK AT THE ROCKS' Festival. They also walked in several Mardi Gras Parades for C.S.N. West, The Haven ,the C.B.D. , Dolphins in 2006 & Your West Divas in 2007 & 2008 ...
For two years Beverly wrote a column for the 'Western SSO Supplement' of the Sydney Star Observer highlighting events in Western Sydney...
In 1999, Beverly became the first drag queen in the west to win a prestigious 'DIVA' Award & later in the same year won a 'WORLD AIDS DAY' Award for her fundraising work, and an 'ACON' West Community Award for her ongoing support & achievements.
In 2000, Beverly was honoured to be the only drag queen in Western Sydney invited to be part of the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony. The millenium also saw Beverly pose nude for a portrait painted by artist Michael Moore, causing a scandal when it was exhibited...
