Whats there to say, I'm an adventurous, passionate free thinker. Love life, live it to the fullest. Love my friends, good food, a good laugh. Care about the world I live in. Would like to make it a better place for everyone. I'm more a New York then London kind of gal. So love it in N.Y.C. London was not really my city, although have so many good friends there. I have been on the Sydney scene since 1975. Lived full time as Ricca since 1973. Moved to Australia from New Zealand in 1975. First job in Sydney was as a topless gogo dancer at a bar called Laramies top of William St. Was working there the night the march was on that started Mardi Gras. Made it through the tough days of Kings Cross when it was normal to be arrested for just being in public as a woman. Got arrested for shoppping in David Jones, going to straight clubs, using the womans toilet at the movies, pretty much arrested for just walking out the door in those days. I guess being so young and naive, I just wouldn't give up. I always felt it was "there" problem and that there was nothing wrong with me being me, as long as I didn't hurt anyone. I was brought up with strong samoan principles that was based on love and respect your family and friends, be good to yourself and be kind to those less fortunate then yourself.
After those hard early days of harrassment, hard drugs, prostitution, prison, assaults, and the many deaths around me I found my way through it all. I found love, and travelled the world. Moved to Germany. First in the south then on to Berlin. Made a living selling in the black market in the former east Germany. The the wall came down and made a fortune selling sculptur made of Berlin Wall peices. When the Gulf war started things got pretty heavy for english speaking people in Berlin so my german boyfriend of 8 years and I decided to return to Sydney 1n 1991. After a terrible break up. He left me to marry a girl he met at his job setting up pay t.v. I returned to doing shows at the Rex Hotel in Kings Cross. Up til it closed. Worked at the Albury, Exchange, DCM and then took on the job of marketing the opening of a new hotel the Stonewall. I was then offered full time work as assistant to Aaron Elias the original licencee and stayed ther for 9 years this july 2006. Now I am looking forward whatever the future may hold for me. Starting with a few events of my very own. I have made millions for people I have worked for over the years, and at 48 , (how scary) I would like something in my own bank account for a change. Things on my to do list. Go to New York more often. Love that city.Put on some really good parties. Get a fab website up and running. Make enough money to start a youth refuge. Adopt an orphan, Madonna and I have so much in common. Oh ok we are both born 1958. I also will have open in time for my 50th birthday in 2 years, my own bar. I would like to sort out the world hunger problem but be happy if I can just make the world a little better for those around me.
