apart from an increasing need to avoid capialisation of letters because it's the done thing, i have to say i could be described as having often done the done thing. mind you, one's definition of the done thing could vary wildly from another's definition; and further the very notion of a thing having been done suggests that its all over anyway and what is the point carrying on about it any further?
but where did it start?
i'm afraid this is a sorry tale of social advantage gone wrong.
i could've been someone; even marlon brando, but i chose mediocrity. i applied liberal helpings of lard to the ladder and stepped on board where i avoided sun seeking reptiles on their aspirational voyage to the top where happiness and a new plasma screen go visa in hand.
as i continue to seek out methods of social suicide, i find that i am joined by an unlikely bunch of grapes: friends take on that pall of sincerety found rarely at a louis vuitton launch and provide strangely satisfying observations on life like: "it's good to spend time with you" as opposed to "have you seen my crystal pipe?"
as far as the future is concerned, i'm advancing towards it anyway, so it doesn't particularly care whether i concern myself with its content. like its sentient, afterall?
outside the leaves are green. i check them out when i'm down and when they turn to gold and settle on my path, i get a tingle. happiness? it is for me.
be at peace.
