CD - Edith Piaf – The Platinum Collection

The Little Sparrow has bounced back into the collective minds of the populace thanks to the moving and amazingly realistic film La Vie En Rose with French beauty Marion Cotilliard in the title role of Piaf.

Clearly a marketing genius at EMI decided that it was a cue to collect together three CDs of haunting, lilting Piaf magic. Her tragic life is evidenced here in what is a true history of this French superstar.

All of those songs that we should recognise, like Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, La Vie En Rose and Le Trois Cloches all make an appearance as you would expect, along with the hauntingly melodic tunes that she performed through pain and suffering of the most difficult kinds.

Look for others on here like Padam Padam, Hymne a l’amour and Notre Dame de Paris.

Francophiles and Piaf fans alike will rejoice in this musical tour through the Little Sparrow’s life and this is best consumed with a French Cabernet and a romantic lover.

Edith Piaf – The Platinum Collection is in stores now through EMI Music.
