Fluffy is proud to present GLAM this time celebrating the Australia Day Eve holiday.. Gatch all the fun, lights and glitter that GLAM has become famous for.. Headlining this time is Courtney Act (LIVE), Alex Taylor (SYD) and Ruby..(SYD)..
COURTNEY ACT
They say that nine tenths of a woman’s charm is illusion… and Courtney Act is living proof. She has the ability to bring women to their feet and men to their knees. But, she’s not like other girls…
Courtney’s explosive, energetic performing style, coupled with her joyous personality, sent audiences wild in the first series of ‘Australian Idol’. With performances of songs like You Don’t Own Me, W.O.M.A.N. and You Shook Me All Night Long, the country was mesmerised and Australia had a new, slightly less conventional, sweetheart. Hot on the high heels of the TV series came the phenomenally successful sell-out Australian Idol Arena Tour where she stopped every show, performing a version of the Kylie Minogue/Robbie Williams duet ’Kids’ with Rob “Millsy” Mills. During all of the Idol excitement a record deal with Sony/BMG was struck which saw Courtney release a film clip and a top 40 chart single produced by legendary LA-based writer/producer David Norland who has worked with the likes of Janet Jackson and Madonna.
Courtney has just completed a hugely successful national tour of her one- woman show Boys Like Me. This live Cabaret show featured Courtney on stage with nothing more than a pianist (and his piano!), fabulous fashion, and brilliant songs. Boys Like Me gave Courtney the opportunity to show audiences her knockout abilities as a singer and comedienne. The Show received fantastic reviews and left crowds amazed that she is not a real… um, blonde.

RUBY
Ruby started creating musical journeys on CD for his friends in 1999, trying to re-create journeys that he had experienced in clubs, and commenced playing live at Cafe Comity in 2001.
He has become well known for playing uplifting or Euphoric Trance, where he creates a musical and emotional journey suited to the relevant timeslot in the evening. He is best known for Middle or Closing sets.
The musical style has become very popular, spawning the birth of boutique dance parties where that particular style of music is played. In the absence of a better name, the parties were called simply “Ruby”.
He developed the “Classic Anthems” concept which has become a firm favourite at the Midnight Shift after each of the major parties in Sydney (Mardi Gras and Sleaze).
He has developed the concept for the regular Transend events, where both local and overseas DJ’s are featured (presented Above & Beyond, Lange, Space Brothers).
He has assisted many new DJ’s to be heard for the first time, which has given their career’s a boost.
These guys are going to the event:dejavu, Harry K, pdunni, alextaylor, philandering
