Mark this date in your diary – Saturday, 27 October. This is when one of Australia’s longest standing and most successful food and wine fairs returns to Hyde Park North – The Sydney Food & Wine Fair.
With free entertainment all day long and food and wines being served from midday, this event really does showcase the diversity and excellence that makes up the Sydney dining experience.
“Sydney Food & Wine Fair is a brilliant institution, and it’s unwavering popularity is a testament to the quality of the food and wine on offer, as well as the efficiency in which the event runs – which this year promises to be the best ever,” said Peter Gilmore of Quay Restaurant.
“It is also an extremely important platform to raise much needed funds and awareness in the continuing fight against HIV / AIDS, and the support of such high profile names as Guillaume Brahimi, Martin Boetz and Sean Moran continues as a great show of strength and commitment to the cause”, Gilmore added.
Already committed to the 2007 Sydney Food & Wine Fair are such leading establishments as Guillaume at Bennelong, Quay, Salon Blanc, Sailor’s Thai, Otto, Buon Ricordo, Flying Fish, Lo Studio, Sean’s Panaroma and Longrain to name a few.
Keeping the fun and festivities rolling well into the late afternoon, two entertainment zones including the main ‘Breville Piazza Stage’ will crackle with live performances, DJ’s, and special guest stars, all woven together by the ever popular and talented MC in the form of ‘Miss Claire de Lune’ from Slide.
The best food and wine the country has to offer, a stunning outdoor location, free entertainment all day, a no doubt gorgeous crowd, important donations to charity – how many reasons do you need?
