Fair Day

Fair Day is Sydney’s great big gay picnic day in the park. But in 2008 it’s about much more than that.

Fair Day will be taking a look back at three decades of gay life in Sydney as well as looking forward to a bright new future for our community. Over 60,000 attended Fair Day in 2007 in the glorious sunshine – eating and drinking, dancing, competing and flirting.

The friendly relaxed atmosphere of Fair Day is unique amongst Mardi Gras events, and for many people it’s the highlight of their season. A main stage is full of live entertainment and features many of the talents that appear in our arts, sports and cultural festival.

Around the stage are a diverse range of food, shopping, political and community stalls. Activities such as Sydney’s campest pooch pampering paradise – Doggywood – and the popular Kidszone can also be found.

If you feel like having a dance Fair Day has a funky Lounge Tent as well.

Must see events at Fair Day 2008:
• Doggywood
• Team Sydney Sports Village
• Closing Show on the Main Stage
• History Wall presented by the Pride History Group
• Lounge Tent presented by Bitch.
