We are pleased to announce that the eighth Aurora Annual Dinner will be held at Sydney Town Hall on Saturday 30 June 2007.
Wear your gowns, tuxes, gems and sparkle because in 2007 (the year of James Bond) Aurora declares that Diamonds Are Forever!

A Licence to Thrill…
Aurora presents its Licence to Thrill with an entertainment line-up that’s second to none. Cabaret and comic maestro Phil Scott will bring his cheeky brand of satire to the Annual Dinner for the first time and adding her big voice and sharp wit to the Aurora stage will be lesbian icon Denise Hanlon as Mistress of Ceremonies.

Major musical heartthrob Michael Falzon, star of the hit show We Will Rock You, will open proceedings with a bang and to close the evening with her characteristic beauty and style will be the award-winning Australian diva, Christine Anu.

Catering for the Annual Dinner will be provided by Restaurant Associates. For the first time in 2007, celebrated three-hat chef Tony Bilson will advise on menu selection for the Annual Dinner as Aurora’s fine food consultant.

Aurora is also pleased to advise that our long-time partner Nigel Burton will again be working with us to select Burton premium wines for the event.

You won’t leave empty handed…
Expect a myriad of prizes that you can win through luck or chance, or join in the fun of our live and silent auctions.

The legendary Mitzi Macintosh returns as Aurora’s auctioneer and once again, Aurora’s auctions will provide experiences that you just can’t get anywhere else. Political junkies should save their pennies now to bid for the chance to dine privately with either Malcolm Turnbull Minister for the Environment and Water Resources or Maxine McKew Labor candidate for the Prime Minister’s seat of Bennelong. Celluloid buffs can start a bidding war to spend a night with the country’s most famous film critics – David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz.

Finally, with friends old and new, you’ll want to hit the Aurora dance floor til the wee hours. The music of Aurora’s popular DJ Bruce Dixon will guide us all the way into July.
