This year will see one of Sydney’s longest standing and most popular events come of age, as the Sydney Food & Wine Fair proudly supported by the City of Sydney celebrates its 18th year. The signature fundraising event for the AIDS Trust of Australia, the fair will be held on Saturday November 1 in Hyde Park North.
Ear marked as a must-attend event on calendars each year, the fair continues to expand with its popularity and has developed a reputation amongst Sydneysiders as the perfect day to enjoy with friends and family.
Combining premium offerings from Sydney’s finest food and beverage establishments & wineries alongside a produce market, this year’s fair, as part of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month, is set to be bigger and better than ever.
With food and wine service from midday, the best of Sydney’s restaurants and Australian wineries including Cafe Sydney, Jonah’s at Whale Beach, Longrain, Quay, Guillaume at Bennelong, Bourke St Bakery and Scarborough Wines will be involved this year.
Purchases on the day are made with coupons which cost $15 for a book of 5. Prices for 2008 are:
Coffee/water/soft drink $3.00
Wine $6.00
Entree/dessert $9.00
Main $12.00
(presale tickets include $2.50 Booking Fee and $5 registered post charge. If the collect from venue option is selected there is no extra postage charge.)
An exciting line-up of entertainment on the main stage will allow visitors to relax and while away the afternoon with a host of local performers and acts to continue the festivities. Performers include Sister Madly, Gin Wigmore and Emma Donovan.
