All About:
Description:
UK diva Katherine Ellis will join Australia’s own crowd pleaser and producer extraordinaire, Grant Smillie, plus a host of this country’s finest house DJs for the much-anticipated return of the world famous Fierce Angel to Sydney’s premier venue, Ivy on Sunday, April 25th (ANZAC Day) from 5pm until 3am.
Kicking off at 5pm, Fierce Angel starts out with a bang, opening with Grant Smillie himself, who will set the tone for the next ten hours of solid dancing to floor shaking house and disco over two levels. This is not a party to arrive at fashionably late!
The creation of Hed Kandi founder Mark Doyle, Fierce Angel has rapidly taken over as the most exciting international club brand, with its monster compilation CDs and decadent events, staged in some of the most exciting destinations across the world, from Buenos Aires to Sydney and beyond.
Enter the world of Fierce Angel, and you’ll be transported to an unknown hedonistic world, with opulent deco, eclipsed only by the sassy Fierce Angel Showgirls, who can do everything from eat fire, roller skate, stilt walk, and of course, dance a mean podium!
Previous Fierce Angel parties in Sydney have seen the likes of Freemasons, Peyton and Mark Doyle himself playing to enraptured crowds, and you can expect Katherine Ellis and Grant Smillie to proudly uphold the Fierce Angel name at this ANZAC Day extravaganza.
Ms Ellis has one of the most powerful set of lungs in the business. In addition to her solo work, which sees her perform with such luminaries as Freemasons, Roger Sanchez, Soul Avengerz and Dave Lee (in all his guises), Katherine is also a member of Bimbo Jones, signed to Tommy Boy Records.
TV Rock’s Grant Smillie has rocked club events across the world and never fails to pack the dance floor wherever he plays. The ARIA winning artist is one of Australia’s most successful DJs and producers.
The stellar support line up will features more of Sydney’s finest, including the legendary Alex Taylor, Oxford Hustlers, Random Soul and Jason Barry.
Tickets are on sale now through SameSame, Moshtix and Hum Records.
