The annual regatta is organised by the Australian Sailing and Cruising Club (ASCC), the LGBT sailing group in Sydney, using 6M Elliott keelboats supplied by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Rushcutters Bay. It will be followed by a dinner and prize giving for crews and their friends in the evening.

Sailing is unique (even amongst Olympic sports) in that it allows men and women to compete as equals using the same equipment.

The good news is that there’s a boat for everyone – no matter what your ability, the size of your wallet or fitness level, you can still have fun sailing or boating with the ASCC.

And if you’d rather just cruise, it’s one of the best ways to explore the sights of Sydney and the surrounding waterways.
